Kipling is sure Cody is out of her mind, but is attracted to her nonetheless. She coerces him into dying his hair, since she told Daddy her husband was dark haired, and then they take wedding photos of her in a lace dress, and him in his Armani tuxedo. Every time he questions her, Cody responds with the question, “Isn’t it romantic?”

To add to the insanity, Kipling is terrified of dogs, and Cody’s loving chocolate lab, Rocky, has never met a stranger. And Tiffani, Cody’s best friend is a rabid fan of Kipling’s TV series.

The interaction between Kipling and Cody is charming and great fun. I enjoyed this novella, ISN’T IT ROMANTIC?, very much and was sorry it ended so soon. The intimate moments scorched the paper, and left this reviewer holding my sides with laughter, while fanning my face. Ellen Fisher has become an auto-buy author for me.

It’s a real treat.

Kayla later finds herself pregnant and Phaeryn’s cousin sends word to the expectant father.

Phaeryn has his work cut out for him trying to change her mind in this book, which is about two characters that seem totally wrong for each other to begin with. By the time you get into the story you will change your mind. I found myself feeling Phaeryn’s unhappiness when he had to leave Kayla behind on Earth. Ms. Evans writes a great vampire romance and the sex scenes really steamed up the pages for a highly recommended read.

Her parents may be divorcing, and that is enough stress in itself. She is in a job that is hard work with very little reward, especially since she wants to become a published writer. She suffered a short marriage years ago, that she still ponders over. Jake, on the other hand, is also going through a change. Tired of handling other people’s money, he opts for the simpler life – plumbing.

THE PLUMBER’S HELPER is a story of the adversarial relationship between two obstinate people who range from passionate lovers to fighters in the blink of an eye. Though quite heavy with internal dialogue from both Roxy and Grady at times, the story does go along well. I would have liked to see Roxy and Grady handle their feelings and resulting obstacles in a more one-on-one way, but the result worked out to a satisfying ending. Roxy’s ability to find a way to put her past behind her, including heavy emotional baggage, and allowing Grady into her heart, was excellent growth. So, despite more telling than showing, I was able to feel emotionally connected to the characters. Since I’m a reader who enjoys emotional stories, the emotional connection is one that can make or break a story for me. THE PLUMBER’S HELPER is a good read, and one will find it to be a pleasant way to spend one’s afternoon.

This is a really hot read involving a ménage between Shari and two to die for, men, Shan Lin and Vincent. I found the character of Shari believable especially her coming to the realization that she is in another realm and married to boot, all this having taken place without her knowledge or remembrance of how it occurred. Shan Lin and Vincent almost quite literally set you on fire with their sexuality. If you’ve read Stephanie’s Ménage than you’ll be delighted to know there are several characters from that book who play a part in this book. Queens’ Warriors is delicious and I highly recommend it, but not to those who object to ménage or erotica.

This book is wonderfully written with so much emotion in the characters that I could’t put it down until the last word was read, and then I hated to see it end. A lot of hot, steamy sex and the passion between these two…WOW! This is a must read!

Secret Submission reads like a how-to book, thinly disguised as a novel. It follows the experiences of Sarah, a widow as she meets and becomes a slave to Phillip. It was an enjoyable novel, however, Sarah’s limits were much beyond my own, and her easy compliance to various tests and requirements was not always believable. Especially since her initial reaction is rebellion almost every time.

The story was detailed and explicit in describing the ways Phillip teaches Sarah how to be a slave, and how he constantly pushes her limits. The book was reminiscent of 9 ½ Weeks, but Sarah’s response was much different. The one aspect I appreciated was the emphasis that Phillip was not on a power trip, and despite pushing limits, respects Sarah.

Our lovers have to make some difficult choices to be able to be together forever. Ms. LaCroix has the ability to bring you into the story with her wonderful words and I felt the struggle as Ivan and Sasha faced the challenges in order to be together.

They make the old adage ring true, “the bigger they are, the harder they fall”, and Lucas appears larger than life, in more ways than one. Amy is a perfect match to his arrogant nature and his sexy masculine demeanor, she is quirky, sensual, and a mind reader! Just what every woman should be to deal with men like Lucas, or any man in general. Ms. Copeland started off the series with a “bang”, I anxiously look forward to the others in this series.

And while the romance is not your typical “boy meets girl and marries girl” story, TABLE FOR FOUR does have the emotions and sentiment you would expect from a romance. However, it is not for everyone, BDSM does play a part in this book. That said, the characters in this story are well-written and intriguing. They have to work through their feelings and emotions in a real way, which make them more believable to the reader. Naturally, not all is believable, such as there being no jealousy between them, but what fun is reading a good book if it has to be totally believable? Diana Hunter has penned an extremely hot, erotic story that will leave you breathless and looking for satisfaction by the time you turn the last page. I look forward to reading more from this sizzling author.

Khalia Peterson was swept away to a foreign place of magic and dragons. Hard for her to believe? Of course, but then she has a power to shift in size, so maybe it wasn’t too unbelievable. Damien Bloodragon sent to protect her says she is a princess and she will be chased by the other dragons because she was in heat. He isn’t immune to her appeal, and fins himself wanting to defy everything just to make her his mate. Meanwhile, some in her kingdom rather see her dead than to have her rule. Damien must hide her and find those wanting to kill their future queen. Of course, can he fight his growing affection for a woman forbidden to him?

This was a good debut for newcomer Angelique Anjou. She creates a world of dragons and intrigue in TEARS OF THE DRAGON. It is entertaining and a thrill a minute as Damien and Khalia fight to survive. Khalia is a strong female well matched for the equally strong Damien.

The sexual suspense is throughout the book. They fight their attraction, keeping the reader gripped to see what will happen next with this pair. Took a while for them to finally give in. More use of Damien being a shifter would have been nice to see. Not enough of him being a dragon for my liking. But then, the author plans on two more stories to this series, so more dragons are to come. Ms. Anjou is a voice to watch in paranormal romance.

A freak accident on the set of a Hollywood heartthrob’s new movie opens up a huge can of worms for Valerie Falkyr. This story reminded me of the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It was interesting how all of the main characters weren’t human. There were only two characters that were human and one of them crossed over at the end of the story. Ms. Roth definitely made me believe the underlying plot. A girl wakes up with no memory and continues her life to find out that she is the reincarnation of some mythical being. Now that definitely would’ve made my head spin. The main character Valerie, which is a play on Valkyrie, was a realistic character. Her language and snappy comments brought such energy to the story.

I thought there would be more romance and more sex, but maybe the author is opening the doors to possibilities for the other characters.

Zin, an Aztec warrior turned vampire, has waited centuries to get even with the Lopos for the sacrifice of his Eternal Mate. Five centuries later he is finally able to get revenge when he senses his Eternal Mate once again in the clutches of the Lopos. I liked the different spin that Chey and Annie put on this vampire story. Everyone is accustomed to reading vampire stories in which the vamp is European or American. This is the first one I've read where there's an Aztec vamp. This was a great way to tear down the stereotypical vampire role. This story made me think Shakira (Hannah Cordova) meets From Dusk 'til Dawn meets Desperado. It's like Zin and Hannah worked like the Mariachi and Carolina. When I first read this story I thought Hannah reminded me of Shakira (when she was dark-haired), I loved that. The Dusk Til' Dawn aspect came out of the temple that the Lopos were doing their sacrifices in. All of these different ideas came together and made a great read. I loved the Aztec history that was incorporated within the story. The characters seemed realistic, especially Zin being a five-century-old vampire. I cannot wait for the other vampiros's stories.

Once Angel turns 21, she can’t be rescued because The Palace will claim she is there willingly.

Many hot scenes between Link and Sara describe their developing relationship. They are always monitored, and Link is constantly urged to “upgrade” the services he’s receiving.

Once Link purchases Sara, her supervisor at DHS decides the only way to save the situation is to tell Link everything and enlist his help. Link is repaid for his expenses and loans he has taken to be with Sara. In addition, he receives a large amount of credits to spend at The Palace to ensure they locate Angel. Annalise has written a steamy, erotic tale with inventive sexual interactions between Link and Sara. There are also scenes involving additional partners, bondage and underage sexual encounters – although the age of majority is 21.

Both Link and Sara desire to rescue others, and they are madly in love with each other. Their affection and lust feel real, as do Sara’s emotions when she realizes Link is her customer. The secondary characters are realistic, and the resolution satisfying.

I can recommend Venus Rising without reservation.

WILD HONEY is an outstanding book. I enthusiastically recommend this beautifully written romance.
