Author Bio:

My first novel FOR THE LOVE OF…, the first in a five-book series of heroes and heroines a bit left of the law, released this past July from Loose Id. Then this fall the first in my high fantasy Yadderwal series was released from Triskelion Publishing.

For the past two years I’ve served as Colorado Romance Writer’s vice- president. I’m running for the 2005 presidency. That sounds important. LOL. Last year I also served as the RWA PRO Education Team Leader and am currently a chair for the Hearts Through History Romance Writers Promotions. I am a member of KoD, HOD and EPIC.

SR: Welcome to Sizzling Romances. Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Tell us about your latest release.

KJS: My latest…it’s going to be a tough call of this, but I am part of the Triskelion ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS anthology scheduled for release early December. It’s a love story of consequence. How one poor choice can last and Eternity.

SR: How did the idea for this story come about?

KJS: Sadly, poor choices. LOL. I have always been incredibly interested in mythology and folklore. The Fates have intrigued me because of their unique standing among the gods. They answered to no one. So, I thought it would be interesting to see some of their talents at work.

Author Melissa Schroeder and I were having a brainstorming session one day and their meeting (Heath and Simone the H/h) just spilled out.

SR: What did you enjoy writing about this story and why?

KJS: As sick and twisted as it is, the research was one of the best things. I love it {don’t go overboard here :-)}. It gave me the idea for another story I want to do (related to this).

I also very much enjoyed seeing how much Heath loved Simone.

SR: Tell us about any upcoming releases.

KJS: Book II in the Yadderwal Balance series, WHISPERED PROMISE, is scheduled for a January 2005 release from Triskelion. In SUDDEN FALL readers met Fionn, Yestin’s brother. WHISPERED is his and his love Tannah’s book.

In one fell swoop Lord Fiontenhal Gellert can save the woman he loves, stop a slaver’s ring, and keep his WHISPERED PROMISE.

Fionn is the second son of the high priestess Lady Glain, but the first in line for the family title. On a quest to locate the woman from his dreams, the perfect woman, perfect for him, he discovers a slavers ring. Not just an ordinary ring either. These are soul slavers. People who steal your soul and sell it to the EtherWorld and once you cross the veil, you can never come home.

Tannah is the princess of the EtherWorld. Strong, independent to her own detriment she has come to Yadderwal on a diplomatic mission for her father. She is being held by a man who desires her body, but craves her soul.

Can Fionn find her before it’s too late?

I also have a really fun, spunk contemporary chick-lit releasing early 2005 from Loose Id. SHE BLINDED ME WITH SCIENCE…FICTION is in running with Loose’s 80’s song titles.

Single, anonymous, and away from home mix for a powerful aphrodisiac. Bianca Kirkland makes her move on the hunky man at the end of the bar. Not only is she on vacation, not only is she making money, she is going to make a lasting memory with a weekend fling with the sculpted bodybuilder. Maybe get a snapshot or two as proof.

While trying to hide who she is, what she is doing in Vegas and date a man she can’t remember, one fiasco after another plagues Bianca’s perfect vacation. Her best friend gets food poisoning and Bianca is forced to become a Klingon--a Klingon priestess who performs at a Betazoid wedding (naked), the commander of her own vessel in a Starfleet battle for dominion. And the most dangerous mission of all…a woman, falling deeply in love with a man.

SR: What do you want readers to come away with after reading one of your books?

KJS: An enjoyable experience, I think is my foremost goal. I delight in imagery and world creation. These characters live with me, trust me enough to share their stories and I hope I do an adequate job of imparting that to the reader. I want a reader to feel like they shared a moment with the characters.

SR: What are you working on now?

KJS: SHADES OF DOUBT Book II in the Luck Of The Irish Series and a historical romantic suspense as of yet untitled.
