Author Bio:

I grew up in an idyllic setting. My parents owned an 18-room inn in rural Vermont. I met many interesting characters who, in bits and pieces, find their way into my writing. Since then I have been a business owner, teacher, professor, writer, and artist. Each profession brought with it new experiences or “cannon fodder” for my writing. I have been writing for years. I had written a novel in high school and stuffed it into a back drawer as well as many unfinished works. It was only during a brief period of unemployment that I began to seriously think about writing as more than a hobby. Since then, I have become a published author, something I never thought would happen!

SR: Welcome to Sizzling Romances. Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Tell us about your latest release.

CC: I have a soon-to-be released book in the Tarot Book series at eXtasy books entitled TERRIBLE JUSTICE. It is set in Earth 2004 and aboard a “seeding ship” in 3227 AD. The hero is transported to the future to teach the heroine about respect for life, something that has been forgotten in the years since the first seeding ships left earth to colonize earth class planets. Their passionate relationship teaches her a lot more than the symbiotic being who shares her body intended, forcing it to choose between the advancement of its knowledge and furthering the evolutionary changes that could occur in the human race.

SR: How did the idea for this story come about?

CC: Hm, if I were honest on this one I would have to admit to a little craziness! The rural inn in Vermont that my parents owned was smack dab on top of a mountain. When I was about twelve, I firmly believed that I had seen a UFO crash land in the valley. Rather than reacting in fear, I promptly spent every night for the next year gazing up at the stars shouting (yes shouting) up to the heavens “please, please pick me!” Needless to say, I was sorely disappointed when I wasn’t whisked off to some galaxy far, far away.

I have always had a fascination with the paranormal, anything to do with outer space, and psychic phenomena. It is therefore no surprise that most of my writing incorporates this interest.

SR: What did you enjoy writing about this story and why?

CC: I loved creating the passionate depth required for two such different people to share a life together. Both characters come a long way, but the depth of passion and love that the heroine comes to find is truly a revelation…to her most of all.

SR: Tell us about any upcoming releases.

CC: I have been working on the second in my series about Silkies (BROTHERS OF THE SEA), for about a year now and hope to have it finished soon. The title is THE OTHER WOMAN and it is about the secondary characters introduced in my novel THE SILKIE’S WOMAN. Set and Eileen heat up the waters and you learn more about Urlon and Megan’s continuing relationship.

SR: What do you want readers to come away with after reading one of your books?

CC: A desire for more!

Actually, I would hope that for a short time, they have been completely immersed in my worlds.

SR: What are you working on now?

CC: In addition to THE OTHER WOMAN, I am working on a young adult book entitled GREEN, about a young girl with a healing gift that has great consequences on those around her, an erotic romance set on another planet, and a mainstream mystery/romance about an innkeeper and an FBI agent.

SR: Please list your publishers here.

CC: My published works have all been with eXtasy Books. eXtasy is an incredible publisher. The company is run by women, the staff is made up of women and most of the writers are women. The environment is incredibly supportive and I feel that they have done a great job fostering a safe environment for author’s to explore ideas and story lines other publisher’s would not, simply because they are not cookie cutter novels. My books are available at eXtasy Books.

SR: Would you like to donate a prize? If so, please list it below.

CC: Yes, I would like to donate a massage kit. I haven’t put it together yet but it will contain massage oil, an aromatherapy candle, and information about how to give and receive sensuous massage.

SR: Email Robin Taylor and put Claire Cameron in the subject line.

Thank you, Ms. Cameron, for your time.
